New procedures soon to further cut red tape

The State Council is expected to announce a series of new measures aimed at eliminating areas of government red tape, including the need for intermediaries involved in administrative approvals, said Luo Guosan, deputy director-general of the investment department of the National Development and Reform Commission on Wednesday. Other measures will include the expanded use of the negative lists system, said Luo, all of which are targeted at invigorating the market and boosting the economy.
