Wang Min, former Party chief of Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, has been expelled from the Party and transferred to the judicial authorities because of corruption. He was once deemed a model official by some subordinates because he publicly advocated Party discipline, the rule of law and the fight against corruption. However, he has been found to have privately taken advantage of his position to seek profit for his relatives and friends and accepted bribes of more than 20 million yuan ($3.2 million).
