Websites named for porn, violence

The Ministry of Culture announced on Tuesday a list of websites suspected of spreading pornography and violence, including tudou.com and youku.com. According to a ministry statement, some animated products contain content that glorifies violence and terrorism; others are alleged to involve pornography. The document said the websites are suspected of inducing minors to break the law and challenging accepted moral values, and asked the Internet firms to enhance their mechanism for content approval.
