Late goal salvages Dutch treat in tie with Turkey

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar deflected a Wesley Sneijder shot to score an injury-time equalizer for the Netherlands in a 1-1 draw with Turkey on Saturday that kept Dutch hopes alive for qualifying for next year's European Championship.

Sneijder initially claimed the goal two minutes into extra time but it was later awarded to Huntelaar, who flicked the ball with his head.

The strike canceled out a 37th-minute goal by Sneijder's Galatasaray teammate, Burak Yilmaz, that long looked like the winning margin at Amsterdam Arena.
