BMW delivers 160 Zinoro 1Es
BMW Brilliance delivered 160 units of its pure electric Zinoro1E to eHi Car Services Ltd, one of China's leading car-rental companies on Wednesday.
The cars will serve eHi's network in Beijing. At the handover ceremony, the two companies also launched an initiative called "Zero emissions all the way, action for clearer skies", which will allow 4,000 eHi users to experience the 1E for free in Beijing.
Jochen Goller, BMW Brilliance's senior vice-president for marketing, said this was the biggest deal for the Zinoro.
BAIC doubles equity profit
BAIC Motor Corp Ltd released its first annual report filed to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange last week, and registered 4.51 billion yuan ($730 million) in profit attributable to equity holders last year, more than double the 2.71 billion yuan amount in previous year.
BAIC Motor's revenue surged to 56.37 billion yuan, up from 12.78 billion yuan in 2013.
The report stated an earning-per-share of 0.7 yuan, and comprehensive income totaled 5.84 billion yuan.
Its Beijing Benz passenger car business realized a gross profit of 9.05 billion yuan in 2014, skyrocketing from 1.39 billion yuan the previous year. The Beijing Motor passenger car business lost 68.92 million yuan.
