BYD new Surui

BYD Auto Sales Co has upgraded its new Surui with an air purification system and a series of new technologies, and buyers are also eligible for a national government subsidy of 3,000 yuan ($488) for energy-saving automobiles.

A 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 6-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission powers the new model. The powertrain's fuel consumption is as low as 5.9 liters per kilometer or 6.5 L/km for the higher configuration versions.

Brown leather seats, dual exhaust pipes and two-color aluminum wheel hubs add sporty looks to the new model.

The Surui interior has been upgraded for the comfort and convenience of driver and passengers, including remote control of engine operation and air conditioning, cruise control and LED daytime running lights.

Its standard configuration also includes leather seats, soft materials in the doors, armrest and dashboard, a 4.3-inch display, keyless entry and automatic headlights with a delayed off function. The flagship version is equipped with a PM2.5 purification system, 360-degree image system, tire pressure monitor system, electric folding mirrors, and 10 speakers.

The driving safety is secured by an ultra-high strength body and frame, Anti-lock Brake System and Electric Brake-force Distribution, automatic locking and collision automatic unlock.

Buyers may choose to add a vehicle traveling camera integrated into the rearview mirror, and a watch that can be used as a key.
