The spring equinox, the day that marks the coming of the blossom season, falls on Saturday. While many Chinese tourists flock to Japan to see displays of cherry blossoms, those who stay in China can also find beautiful places to enjoy the spectacle. Here are the five most popular spots.
1.Yuyuantan Park, Beijing
The park has the largest area of cherry trees in North China. It is a particular pleasure to row on the lake, which takes up half the park's area, and gaze at the flowers on 2,000 trees as they ripple in the breeze.
