By Agencies in Aden, Yemen | China Daily | Updated: 2015-03-20 07:49

At least seven people were killed in clashes between tribal militia and security forces in Yemen's southern port city of Aden on Thursday, a security official said, in an escalation of power struggle in the country.

"The tribal militia allied with President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi attacked the security units at Aden's international airport, leaving at least seven people killed from both sides," the local security source said on condition of anonymity.

"The pro-Hadi tribal militia has now taken full control over the airport and the fighting still continues," the source said.
