Ex-officials face bribery charges

Jiang Jiemin, former head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, was charged with power abuse and bribery, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Thursday. He was also accused of owning massive properties with unclear sources by the Hanjiang Branch of the Hubei Provincial People's Procuratorate. A court hearing will be held at a later date, according to the SPP. In a separate development, Li Chuncheng, former deputy Party chief of Sichuan province, has been accused of power abuse and bribery by the Hubei Xianning people's procuratorate, the SPP said.
