Zou and Tso show is a go for July

By Murray Greig | China Daily | Updated: 2015-03-12 08:25

Zou Shiming is climbing right back in the saddle.

Just days after China's double Olympic gold medalist was handed the first loss of his professional boxing career - a 12-round unanimous decision to IBF flyweight champ Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand - Top Rank promoter Bob Arum announced Zou will co-headline a July 18 card at the Venetian Macao's Cotai Arena.

Arum said on Monday he is actively looking for an opponent for Zou (6-1), who lost 116-111 on all three scorecards last Saturday night at the same venue. His fight will be the co-feature to Rex Tso's clash with WBA super flyweight champion Kohei Kono (30-8-1) of Japan, in which Tso (16-0) will become the first boxer from Hong Kong to challenge for a world title.
