10 wounded in railway station attack

Nine civilians and a police officer were injured in a knife attack by two assailants at Guangzhou Railway Station on Friday morning.

Police officers shot dead a suspect and caught another who was also injured.

The attack happened at about 8:18 am near the main pedestrian square outside of the station, according to officials from the city's railway public security bureau.
