Task force chief recommends death penalty for some abduction, human trafficking cases

The comments of the senior national human trafficking task force officer on what should be done with traffickers have triggered widespread discussion.

Chen Shiqu, director of the Ministry of Public Security's human trafficking task force, recently suggested that traffickers involved in serious cases should receive the death sentence because this would serve as a deterrent for future such crimes.
