The year 2015 will witness more Chinese wealthy people devoted to charity activities, as discovered by the global wealth intelligence firm Wealth-X in late February.
Indeed, charitable giving has become the most popular way for entrepreneurs to prove, even satisfy, their social responsibility, according to a survey by the Shanghai-based Hurun Report, which tracks the activities of the richest people in China.
Just over one quarter of the 376 Chinese millionaires it polled in its latest Philanthrophy List, each with an average personal wealth of 41.7 million yuan ($6.67 million), said they considered donation as the best way to realize their companies' corporate social responsibility, an 11 percent rise on last year's number.
