Dismissed political advisors show anti-graft heat

China Daily | Updated: 2015-03-05 07:39

IN HIS WORK REPORT, YU ZHENGSHENG, chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, mentioned that 14 committee members have been dismissed for corruption, and the CPPCC needs to strengthen supervision in order to fight corruption. This is the first time for over 20 years that anti-graft appeared in the CPPCC National Committee chairman's work report. Comments:

The CPPCC National Committee is not the decision-making body of the State, but an essential platform for discussing issues, in which there are quite a large number of senior officials. By clearly stating "anti-graft" in its chair's work report, the committee has sent a clear signal that the campaign against corruption will go on.
