The Democratic People's Republic of Korea fired two short-range missiles into its eastern waters on Monday when the Republic of Korea and the United States began their joint annual war games.

ROK Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said that the DPRK launched two missiles, estimated to be Scud-C ballistic missiles considering their altitude, speed and trajectory, from 6:32 am to 6:41 am local time from South Pyongan province.
