Subway 'beggar' has two properties

A man who pretended to be disabled in order to beg on Line 5 of the subway has been detained on suspicion of disturbing public order. Police say the man entered the subway every morning as a normal commuter then changed into shabby clothes. He pretended to have a disabled leg and proceeded to beg in the subway trains, collecting more than 10,000 yuan ($1,600) each month, which enabled him to purchase two apartments in Beijing.
