Online lottery sales halted
Online sales of lottery tickets on e-commerce platforms were halted by the authorities on Saturday. Taobao, China's largest online retail platform, said it has stopped selling all kinds of lottery products. Customers will receive a refund after their purchases were canceled. On Jan 15, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the General Administration of Sport announced that every province should start regulating the online lottery business before Sunday.
