Procurement directive urges standardization

The Ministry of Finance on Wednesday issued a directive on government procurement of information technology. The guidelines aim to standardize local governments' procurement procedures and enhance transparency. The document said that rules and regulations that are at odds with the Implementation Act of Government Procurement, which was passed on Dec 31, would be eliminated. The guidelines encourage the procurement of licensed software, cloud computing services, big data and technology that ensures State information security.
