People 'overreacted' to shortened name

Dropping the word 'friendship" from the official abbreviated title of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing just brings the name in line with new guidelines, the hospital said on Monday.

The hospital announced on Saturday that it had opted to no longer use the word "friendship" in its abbreviated title.

The name China-Japan Hospital has been used on many occasions for some time, including the nearby bus station, which was named after the facility.
