Li Zhi, an official in Yuncheng, Shanxi province, delivered his work report in five-character poems at the annual local people's congress last week.
"Official speeches are usually long and boring. The poems sound refreshing. At least they show that officials are changing. I like his courage and others' acceptance of it."
