Pan Pacific Hotel and Serviced Suites Ningbo won two awards at the Pan Pacific Hotels Group Global Leadership Conference 2015 in Singapore.

New opening

The InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort opened on Feb 8. The hotel was designed in traditional Chinese and Southeast Asian style with modern facilities. Geoffrey Lee, vice-president of design and engineering for InterContinental Hotel Group's China operations, participated in the opening celebrations. Carlson Rezidor, one of top 10 global hotel groups, plans to triple its portfolio of operational hotels in China from 14 to 50 by 2019. Radisson South Hotspring Chongqing, the third Carlson Rezidor hotel in the city, is to open within this year. "The China market is expected to represent 25 percent of our Asia-Pacific portfolio of operational hotels by 2020," said Thorsten Kirschke, the company's Asia Pacific president.

German comedy

The Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace is hosting a German stand-up comedy show from 6 pm to 10 pm on Feb 28. The show will be presented by the renowned comedy duo Klaus and Klaus. Tickets cost 428 yuan ($69) per person and allow audience members to enjoy an afternoon walk round the parks as well as a German-themed culture experience with the show.
