Deputy probed for taking bribes

Liu Hongjie, deputy director of Management and Security of the PLA General Political Department and a deputy to the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, was under investigation for taking bribes and abusing his power to seek benefits for others, thepaper.cn reported on Friday. The decision was announced at the 17th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th Beijing Municipal People's Congress.
