State Grid lights up Gansu villages

State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company has spent more than 381 million yuan ($60.9 million) to help poor rural villages and households in Gansu province. According to a recent report from Gansu provincial government, between 2012 and 2014, the company invested 62.6 million yuan to supply electricity to 24 villages. Other activities included power grid construction, building roads, installing solar streetlighting, and irrigation projects.
