Private investment in infrastructure needed

Deputy Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao said that China will encourage private investment in infrastructure, part of his address to a ministerial meeting ahead of the G20 summit in Turkey. This year, China will maintain a proactive fiscal policy and "moderate" monetary policy and pursue further budget and taxation reform, he said. The government will pay more attention to the quality of investment as the economy enters a "new normal" phase after three decades of rapid growth.
