Schools troubled by radical parents

China Daily | Updated: 2015-02-12 07:39

The radicalization of some Australian parents and students has become a serious issue among schools in Victoria state, with some parents reportedly abandoning their children to fight in the Middle East.

Fairfax Media reported on Wednesday that two children from a government primary school had parents fighting for Islamic State in Syria.

The new Australian Principals Federation Victorian branch president, Peter Kearney, said his organization received frequent queries from principals struggling to deal with radical parents.
