Court publicizes parole information
The Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court publicized information on Monday concerning cases that involved parole or commuted sentences. More than 1,800 cases related to commutation and parole were tried in the court between July 2012 and last year. The court held public hearings in more than 40 such cases last year. The court has stepped up efforts to make judiciary work more transparent to the public.
