Police see through claim of robbery

A man surnamed Zhu in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, asked his friend to rob him because he planned to embezzle a HKD$150,000 ($19,348) business payment he had received for his boss. Zhu reported to police on Jan 8 that he was robbed of the money he received from a client in Hong Kong. A police investigation found that Zhu and his friend surnamed He had staged the robbery to embezzle the money, and they were detained on Jan 19.
