KFC unleashes hot dog wrapped in chicken

Fast-food giant KFC has begun selling a hot dog wrapped in fried chicken instead of bread and covered in cheese sauce in the Philippines - to the horror of dietitians and the amusement of social media users.

The Double Down Dog seeks to exploit Filipinos' love for hot dogs and fried chicken, KFC Philippines marketing director Errol Magdato said.

"We know that Filipinos are very adventurous when it comes to food and we know how much we love hot dogs," Magdato said in an e-mail response to queries.
