Measles strikes 23 in Chaoyang

The Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control confirmed a measles outbreak involving 23 cases in a residential building in Chaoyang district. The patients were quarantined for observation. Another 3,462 people in the building have been vaccinated against the disease to avert further infections. So far, 68 cases in Beijing have been reported since Jan 1, up 143 percent over the same period last year.
