Wuxi official investigated

A senior official in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, has been placed under investigation on corruption charges, the top anti-graft authority in the region said on Friday. Xu Gang, a member of the standing committee of the city's Party committee and Party chief of the city's Wuxi New District, was said to have seriously violated party discipline and laws.
