PM vows never to give in to terrorism, seeks diplomatic help from Middle East friends

Japan is doing all it can to free two hostages that the Islamic State group in Syria is threatening to kill on Friday, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Wednesday.

Abe vowed never to give in to terrorism as he returned to Tokyo from a six-day Middle East tour slightly ahead of schedule and convened a Cabinet meeting soon after.
