Unpaid bills could bring house loss
Albanians with over 100,000 lek ($833) of unpaid electric bills risk losing their houses, Albanian Daily News reported on Monday. The penalty, included in a new law drafted by the Energy Ministry, is expected to be passed by lawmakers this week. Currently, households or businesses that fail to pay face energy cuts. Those who steal electricity will face imprisonment of three to five years.
