March recalls landmark protest

Actors from the movie Selma marched with hundreds of people on Sunday to mark one of the bloodiest chapters in the United States civil rights movement, as the country prepared to commemorate the national holiday honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

The remembrance comes after several incidents around the US in which police killed unarmed black men, leading to protests.

In Ferguson, Missouri, senior black politicians pressed for further reforms of the criminal justice system in the name of racial equality.
