A stunning, curling goal from Sun Ke ensured China a quarterfinal berth in the Asian Cup for the first time since 2004.
With a right-foot shot David Beckham would be proud of, Sun's expert finish from 20 yards was enough for China to defeat Uzbekistan 2-1 in Brisbane, Australia, on Wednesday and maintain its perfect record at this year's Asian Cup.
The Uzbeks will face Saudi Arabia for the other quarterfinal spot after the Saudis' 4-1 victory over the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Melbourne earlier in the night.
