Some polar bear clusters have moved slowly to islands in northern Canada that are retaining Arctic ice for longer, a study has found.
The research predicts that the migration, which is linked to climate change, will continue.
The study, published this month in the journal PLOS ONE, was based on DNA taken from nearly 2,800 polar bears in countries where the animals live - the United States, Russia, Canada, Greenland and Norway.
