Girl, 6, saves boy from drowning

A 6-year-old girl saved a boy from drowning by holding onto his hand for 40 minutes after he fell into a pond. Wang Ziying was playing with her kindergarten classmate Wang Yaolong, also 6, in Ziyang when the boy slipped into the water. She knelt down and grabbed his hand, then cried out for help, but no one heard her. After 40 minutes her mother, who had been looking for her, arrived at the scene and pulled the boy to safety.
