A simple question that can help save lives

"Many young people kill themselves in this country," my Chinese friend tells me solemnly.
We are sitting in a Beijing restaurant sharing a meal. All around the dinner table, other friends nod their heads gravely in agreement.
"It's the pressure," says one young professional. "When you are the only child, there is a lot of pressure for you to succeed in study and work."
