Southampton holds van Gaal's crew shotless

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was forced to defend both his tactics and squad management following a disjointed 1-0 home loss to Southampton on Sunday.

Substitute Dusan Tadic's 69th-minute goal earned the visitors their first victory at Old Trafford since January 1988 and allowed Ronald Koeman's squad to leapfrong United into third place in the standings.
