By Bloomberg | China Daily | Updated: 2015-01-13 08:26

Vehicle sales in China grew by 6.9 percent last year, missing the State-backed auto association's revised forecast as the economy cools in the world's largest car market.

Deliveries grew to 23.5 million vehicles, from 21.98 million in 2013, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said on Monday in Beijing.

The group in July predicted an 8.3 percent increase, cutting an earlier forecast for 10 percent growth.
