Officer punished for misuse of car

A policeman from Nanyang, Henan province, was demoted after his use of a police car for a private purpose was exposed on the Internet. Xin Hong drove a police car to Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, on Dec 16 to help a real estate manager friend settle a dispute. The Nanyang public security bureau began an investigation after netizens brought the incident to light. The bureau demoted Xin on Friday for breaching Party discipline.
