Hearing implants benefit children

Forty-five children with hearing difficulties in Qinghai province have received financial aid for artificial cochlea implants and recovery training since 2011, Qinghai Daily reported on Tuesday. The provincial disabled person's federation launched an aid program in 2011 and purchased equipment costing nearly 800,000 yuan ($133,000) to implant artificial cochlea into the ears of poor children.
