Late last year, news broke online about an attractive young Chinese woman who offered her body to "temporary local boyfriends" if they paid for her visits to various spots across the country.
The nubile traveler had notched trips to cities in Jiangsu such as Suzhou, Wuxi and provincial capital Nanjing before stories about her "Zero yuan round China" escapade went viral on social media.
About the same time, Chinese netizens also went gaga over Internet reports about another sweet young thing who ran naked at 3 am on the streets of Longzhou county in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. It was apparently for a similarly coveted reward - a circle of friends had bet that she would not strip for a new iPhone 6. But she lapped up the smartphone offer and there were even "images" of her stunt posted online to prove it.
