On March 1, 2011, Wang Shuo, from Xiamen, Fujian province, signed a contract to work as a cleaner for a company from Taiwan that has an office in the city.

However, five days after she signed the contract, Wang was hit by a motorbike and sustained bruising around her left temple and other minor injuries that resulted in her spending 17 days in the hospital.

Although the traffic police concluded that the motorcyclist was responsible for the accident, he has never been brought to justice because he was using fake license plates and has not been traced.
