Extradition treaties signed with 2 nations

China approved extradition treaties with Afghanistan and Iran on Sunday, increasing the number of such treaties the country has ratified to 36. The two treaties further strengthen China's international judicial cooperation, benefiting the global fight against crime, officials said. The National People's Congress Standing Committee ratified its first extradition treaty in 1994 with Thailand that went into effect in 1999.
