'Uncle House' gets 20 years for graft
A local official known as "Uncle House" was sentenced to 20 years in prison for embezzlement, abuse of power and taking bribes on Friday. Lujiang county court also confiscated assets belonging to Fang Guangyun worth 150,000 yuan ($24,100). Fang, a former secretary of the neighborhood committee of the Communist Party of China in Zhanbei community, Hefei, illegally obtained 18 properties and helped others acquire 45 houses while serving in public posts, the court said. He accepted bribes totaling 60,000 yuan.
