Varejao to miss rest of season

Cleveland Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao, who was injured in the third quarter of Tuesday's game, will be out for the rest of the NBA season, the club said on Wednesday. The 32-year-old tore his Achilles tendon during Tuesday's 125-104 win over Minnesota when he collapsed under the basket while going for a rebound. Varejao averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this season. This will be the fourth time in the last five seasons that he will miss at least 50 games.
