240 BILLION YUAN was recovered by national auditors during audits of nearly 100,000 government departments and State-owned enterprises in the first 11 months of this year, the head of the National Audit Office, Liu Jiayi, said on Thursday. More than 200 officials were handed over to judicial and disciplinary authorities after irregularities were found involving funds totaling more than 30 billion yuan ($4.8 billion), Liu said.
