Second court rules against ex-prof

By Cao Yin | China Daily | Updated: 2014-12-24 07:52

A former professor of Peking University who had accused school officials and instructors of sexually harassing and assaulting waitresses at a campus restaurant was ordered by a second court on Tuesday to apologize.

Zou Hengfu, who was an economics professor at Peking University, was told by Beijing No 1 Intermediate People's Court to delete his online posts that accused the university's deans, department heads and professors of sexually assaulting waitresses at the campus restaurant, and to apologize to the university.

The ruling upheld the original verdict by Beijing Haidian District People's Court of Aug 20. The university and restaurant had sued Zou for libel in September 2012, soon after Zou posted his allegations.
