By Chne Jia | China Daily | Updated: 2014-12-22 07:43

The country is stepping up its antitrust enforcement efforts to safeguard national security, said Wang Shouwen, assistant minister of commerce.

"We should tighten the national security review system and other relevant supervision mechanisms during the introduction of foreign capital," said Wang.

The Commerce Ministry is modifying the law on Sino-foreign joint ventures, and it plans to introduce a new foreign investment law that will establish a system to regulate foreign capital.
