Billionaire's daughter gets 7 years in prison

Hou Junxia, the daughter of a former railway billionaire, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for illegal business operations, Beijing Times reported on Wednesday. Her personal property worth 80 million yuan ($13 million) has been confiscated. Hou is one of the children of Ding Shumiao, a businesswoman who served as a broker for former railway minister Liu Zhijun in trading power for money. Liu had accepted bribes totaling 49 million yuan from 2004 to 2011, mostly from Ding, and was sentenced to death with two years' reprieve.
